We fell in love with this little detached cottage and decided to turn it in to a perfect holiday retreat away from everyday stresses. Its location is magical, tucked away down a private single track road in a hamlet few people know exists - even locals. Close to a small pebble beach and a short walk to a sandy beach its a perfect holiday location. The  wonderful cliff walk from Rockcliffe to Sandyhills passes the door so lots of great walks on your doorstep. The private garden has a lovely lawned area and a raised patio " The Top Deck " for views of the sea. A great place to fire up the BBQ in Summer and enjoy the view from outdoor rattan furniture.. Come Winter, curl up in the lounge by the fire with a book. We love it when the tide is coming in and you can hear the ocean.

Perfect for couples wanting a cosy luxury retreat or families looking for a coastal holiday.

Single guest staying in Sanderling

"Sanderling is perfect for bird lovers and walkers. With nice décor and comfortable furnishings inside and outside, on the 2 level garden you can enjoy the views and the songbirds. The owner has provided both binoculars and a bird identification book to get you started! The house is placed on the cliff walk between Sandyhills and Rockcliffe, with a sea stack of nesting cormorants in the Rockcliffe direction. The beach accessed from Portling or Sandyhills at low tide is a nice stroll. The unsurfaced road that takes you to Sanderling ends at the sea so there is minimal traffic going by to disturb your peace and quiet."
