We fell in love with this little detached cottage and decided to turn it in to a perfect holiday retreat away from everyday stresses. Its location is magical, tucked away down a private single track road in a hamlet few people know exists - even locals. Close to a small pebble beach and a short walk to a sandy beach its a perfect holiday location. The wonderful cliff walk from Rockcliffe to Sandyhills passes the door so lots of great walks on your doorstep. The private garden has a lovely lawned area and a raised patio " The Top Deck " for views of the sea. A great place to fire up the BBQ in Summer and enjoy the view from outdoor rattan furniture.. Come Winter, curl up in the lounge by the fire with a book. We love it when the tide is coming in and you can hear the ocean.

Upstairs is a delightful coombed bed room, with a comfy king size bed. Downstairs a cosy twin room that's perfect for kids. The bathroom is fitted with a luxurious double ended roll top bath, the perfect place to relax after a day’s walking, a separate shower and heated towel rail. The kitchen, with its beautiful cottage style design, has all the modern appliances you need to cook some marvellous local produce. Facilities include a cooker, halogen hob, microwave, retro fridge freezer and a dishwasher. In the morning sit with a coffee in the conservatory and enjoy gorgeous coastal views before heading out to explore this rugged, breathtaking part of the country.
Located on the Solway Coast, which is a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Sanderling offers fantastic access to some splendid coastal hikes, wonderful woodland walks and other spots of stunning untouched countryside. If you wish to venture further afield then the cottage can be used as a great base to explore Dumfries and Galloway.

Sanderling is accessed via an unmade road which leads to the beach. May not be suitable for low cars. Some potholes.

Situated in Colvend on the outskirts of the popular seaside village of Rockcliffe, this beautifully renovated, character cottage overlooks White Loch and provides an ideal base to explore the Solway Coastline and rolling Galloway countryside. The beaches of Rockcliffe, Kippford and Sandyhills are close by.
There are wonderful forest, coastal and loch side walks from the doorstep. Easy access to Dalbeattie Forest, one of the 7Stanes mountain biking trails. The delightful sailing village of Kippford is a short walk from Rockcliffe along the Jubilee Path
Large open plan kitchen / diner makes this the perfect place to gather and enjoy local produce prepared in the well equipped kitchen. Double oven with grill, microwave, tall fridge / freezer, dishwasher and washing machine all make your stay comfortable. The open plan kitchen has a comfy leather sofa and wood burning stove. Cosy snug/ lounge with smart TV. Underfloor heating ensures the cottage is warm all year round.
Upstairs are two pretty combed ceiling bedrooms with dual aspect view over country side and White Loch. Comfortable wool 2000 pocket sprung king size bed . Twin bedroom with Laura Ashley metal beds. House bathroom with shower over bath and shower room make the cottage perfect for friends or families. Central heating radiators and towel rails keep the upstairs cosy.
Loch View has a modern cottage interior while keeping the character of the original cottage. Complimentary wifi, smart TV and docking station mean you can stay connected.
