Mobiles

Not all mobile service can be accessed from the cottage. Vodaphone, Tesco and O2 seem to provide the best reception. However please note in a rural area network can be patchy.

Walking and beach

There is information on local walks in the cottage. Please take a look at local tide tables if walking around the beach as the tide can come in quickly.

Safety

The cottage dates back to the 1700's and in renovating we did not want to remove its character. The original quirky stair case is steep.

The pretty mature garden is fenced. There are different levels to take in the views. Young children will need supervision on the terraced area.

Blind cords can be dangerous and we have placed all cleats high up on walls. Please ensure cords are kept well away from children and cots. Sanderling is not suitable for children under 5 years old. Babes in arms welcome.

Please use the fireguard provided and do not leave the fire unattended. Sanderling is fitted with mains smoke and heat detectors. There is a carbon monoxide detector in the lounge and boiler room. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket are situated in the kitchen next to the oven.

No smoking. No Candles.

The fire service recommends guests leave keys in exit doors – the front door has a thumb screw lock to enable easy exit.
