We are constantly monitoring the devolved government’s guidelines and will inform you if there needs to be a change to your booking. Changes to our T&Cs or information to guests will be updated on this page.

 Guidelines

We are delighted to be open and welcoming guests

Cleaning Protocols and Risk Assessments

We have completed risk assessments for both cottages and are keeping up to date with industry and Scottish Government advice on cleaning protocols for self catering cottages. We have put in processes to implement these protocols.

Our housekeepers are professionals who have been trained in the correct way to prepare the cottage for you. On arrival you will find a cleaning checklist signed by the housekeeper.

We will be using a Virucidal/Bactericidal Disinfectant that  passes EN 14476. You will find this and other cleaning materials provided at the cottage. We will also provide hand sanitiser and antibacterial hand wash for use during your stay. We have checked that all the products used do not compromise NHS or care home supplies.

Linda has completed the "Good To Go" accreditation scheme. The Scottish Government have adopted the scheme's goals - Fergus Ewing, Scottish Government Tourism Secretary stated

"Good to Go is a really positive development, developed jointly by the four Visitor agencies across the UK, that will ensure the sector is as prepared as possible to welcome visitors again. I’m pleased to see the establishment of this UK wide self-certification scheme that will enable businesses to demonstrate that they are ready to reopen and give much needed confidence to visitors and communities that tourism can begin again."

We have also achieved the AA Covid Confident accreditation and  Landlords' Little Helper's Cleaning School  Covid 19 - Cleaning Protocols Course as recommended by the Association of Scottish Self Caterers. We are also following government advice on cleaning protocols.

Arrivals and Departure

Check in / out will be contactless for your safety. We are always at the end of the phone if you have any questions. Both cottages have a landline.

In order to allow our housekeepers extra time to clean the cottage for your arrival. Our new check in time is from 5pm please do not arrive earlier. Check out time is 10am on the morning of your departure. We will be unable to accommodate any requests for an early check in.

The New Normal for Self Catering

We have always been proud of the extra attention to detail we have offered to our guests and we have had many kind comments regarding this. Sadly we will now have to strip back the cottages in order to meet the new cleaning protocols and to adhere to our risk assessment. Bedding and towels will laundered in line with Government advice.

Guests Responsibility

Please ensure that you are able to stay with us/ travel within the guidelines of the Scottish government, these can be found at the following link:
